You love nokia and Dell and not just a mobile phone and computer aren’t you ? Yes we believe in brans and we always go behind them. Almost blind ! So what about the brands on the web ? Do you usually search on google or yahoo.com ? well both are good search engines but you always tend to say ” I googled it ” rather than, I searched it right ?
These days I am not using yahoo email much. May be because gmail it the latest trend and good brand ? I need @gmail.com at the end and that sounds little trendy isn’t it ?
So the point is, we do have that so called brand “myth” here on world wide web also !

Brands sure have their value everywhere. If you go around looking carefully, you would probably find a cool unbranded shoe but it won’t give you the kind of satisfaction a Nike shoe would. Even if the Nike isn’t all that good.
Life is all about brands, and showing off these days. That’s why these so called super expensive mobile phones sell as well. And many other things for that matter. That’s why you see companies spending so much money on advertising and all.

Ur right…the science behind these brand names is really intreasting…certain names can even determine the products fate…recently i heard abt Chevy’s new car Nova which was a big hit in US but was a big flop in Latin America because Nova means “something tht dosent go” in spanish lolzz

Search: Google (if it dosent come up in google, it dosent exist …. nt really but thts wht everyone believe)
Email: Gmail (more space..less spamming)
Online Purchasing: AMAZON.COM (they ship stuff promptly…unlike ebay which takes forever )
Blogging: Live Journal ( I hv a circle of gud friends there and thus no other blogging sites appeal to me)
Social Networking: Facebook (its more secure i think…btw u got an account there?)
Music: I usually dont listen to music online anymore i dowload it frm kaliveedu.com.
Movie: http://www.videoduniya.com (they gt a good collection of malayalam, hindi and tamil movies…)

for music if u can get a US ip…i would highly recommend pandora. Else last.fm would do just fine.
