A little more google love, now with gmail.
I always loved gmail because of it being so simple, with all the great features filled in. I thought, those small : and
made gmail look more cute. Now, when they bring emoticons on to gmail chat ?
My first thought was, well, is that going to affect the simplicity ? No way !! Its the google way of doing things ……….. what should I say, I just loved it… have you tried it yet ?
Group chat is going to take gmail a few miles ahead of yahoo. Right now, I depend on yahoo chat only when I need a group discussion. So, once we have group chat here on gmail and gtalk, oh yahoo, you are going to miss me a lot !! ( lol )
Here is how you start a group chat
“To start a group chat, click “Group chat” from the “Options” menu when chatting. Enter the names of the people you want to add, and, bingo, you’re in your very own chat room. All the familiar features such as chat archiving and taking the chat off the record still work as well.”
Now, here is what you must do, login to gmail, try it out, and get back here and let me know what you felt !!

That’s great! But I think Gtalk needs many more features. It’s file sharing capabilities are less than stellar, right now. But I like the fact that it’s very light on my computer system.

Hey google lover, I dont sign in in any other chat account other than gmail! I use the email in-built facility of gtalk in gmail!
Btw! how many times in a day you profess your love for google? Isn’t your gf jealous?

Yeah, Google did a great thing by having group chat on GMail. Pretty much eliminates the need to be on Yahoo as you have already said. Though I wasn’t bothered much with smileys but they are a welcome step too and it makes me very happy to see that they are lightweight and decent looking. Not like the stuff they have on MSN.
