For me, google reader is now as important as my gmail inbox (s). I think, I am logging in to google reader before gmail . Sometimes, google reader has more exciting news than my gmail inbox could give. Here is one of them

When you log in to AIM through Gmail chat, your AOL buddies will appear in your chat list with friends from your Google Talk network, and you will see the yellow “running man” logo to the right of your AIM friends’ screen names. To your AIM friends it will look like you are logged in to AIM as usual.”
The first company that I started working with, used AIM ( aol instant messenger ) as an official communication channel, from that time, I am using AIM as my primary chat channel until gmail introduced chat inside gmail inbox and now, I can both of them together !!

How to : Sign in and Sign Out
Once you’re signed in, just click the down arrow next to your status message and select Sign in to AIM. If this is your first time connecting, you’ll be prompted to enter your AIM screen name and password. Click Connect to continue.
Some of your AIM buddies will appear in your Quick Contacts list, and the rest are accessible from the Search, Add, or Invite field. Just click a contact to initiate a chat session.
Signing out
Just click the down arrow next to your Quick Contacts status message, and select Sign out from AIM (your_screen_name)
What will you call this new happening ? ” Google talk and AIM just Married “

No I don’t use AIM. But I did see this function today and knew it that it will be on your blog.
