Is google always right ?

http://blogoscoped.com/files/google-cartoon-02.gifI just received an email forward, starting with following lines

“”Om Jai Google Hare !!
Swami Jai Google hare
Programmers ke sankat, Developers ke Sankat,
Click main door kare!!
Om Jai Google Hare !!”"

This is making me write something more about Google.

Most of the times, when we are in need of instant information, its google that helps us. Before I give up on any issue, that I come across while at work, I try google once, to see if that helps.

That does not mean that whatever you find there, is correct.

“Google is neither affiliated with the authors of this page nor responsible for its content.” thats what Google says, if you have noticed it. That means, we are responsible for what we find on google. If there is a high ranked website, which says Indian Independence Day is August 16th, there are chances, for a considerable amount of people to believe that it truly is on 16th.

How will you make sure that what you found on a google search, is correct ? What all things or steps that you personally take, or consider while you search for something on any search engine?

I leave this for an open discussion, to figure out different ways to do this, and present it in a good format for all of you out there !!

dinsan if we by that way than we can’t belive anything that we see hear and do while we are on the net. for the simple reason any one can write up anything and just provide a disclaimer same as we see a “Condition Apply” in a full page ad.

and google’s results are based on the site which are legitimate. (in most of the case)
