Take Google Talk to your Blog

February 26th, 2008 · 5 Comments · google

Yes, here is a cool feature that you would love to add to your blog. A small badge from Gtalk, on your sidebar, and user visitors can start talking to you with a simple click, without sharing your gmail ID or their email ID.

To create one badge for you, you just need to copy paste the code from here

If you can’t believe what I told you now, read more here !!

“Visitors will then see a badge on your site indicating your availability, and can click to start a chat with you. If there’s a time when you don’t want to be distracted, just set your online status to “busy” and visitors won’t be able to chat with you until you change your status back to “available.”

Update- If you set your status to “busy” on chat, the gtalk link will be disabled. ( Visitors will not be able to request chat )
If you believe, then just click on “talk to me” on my sidebar, and LET’S TALK !!

there’s another product out there that you all may want to take a look at, http://www.hab.la. You can have either the badge like Chatback, or have chat integrated dynamically right on your page ala Gtalk in Gmail…

I can’t make it work on Wordpress.com blog. Did you said it works there also?

    @ Suda

Since its an iframe code, I don’t think it will work with Wordpress.com blogs :)
