Orkut News :
Now you can upload up to 1000 photos on orkut. They started with 12 made it hundred few months back and now its 1000. If you are using IE, you have an option to add multiple photos together. Read instructions here

If you would like to develop a social application for orkut, its time for you to contact them.
Starting this month, we’re enabling developers to make their social applications available to orkut users. We’ll start ramping up to more than 50 million people over the next few weeks.
To help developers ready their applications, we’re offering engineering support and training. We’ve scheduled orkut hackathons on Feb. 14-15 from 10 am-6 pm at the Googleplex in Mountain View and via videoconference in New York. Don’t you think Orkut is blindly copying Facebook??? All its features even the application too?Can’t Orkut be creative considering its Google’s baby? Why it needs to ape the American ways???

Yep, in someway …. but the success of orkut, was its “simple to use” interface . Eventually, this itself created problems, when they attracted more people with wrong motives..
