What is the best time to read ?

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

I have lot of questions since I am trying to save my reading habit. What is the best time to read, is just one of them.

I am here to steal your reading techniques !!. Well, I will share it with others and it won’t be your own secrets anymore, so careful !!

1 What is the best time to read ?
2 How do you find more time to read ? ( or where and when do you read … )
3 Is there any particular spot, where you go to read ?  ( your bed room, terrace .. garden ? )
4 How many pages do you read, a day ?
5 Do you make note down things while reading ?
6 Do you buy books or get them from the Library ?
7 Do you read English books more, or your books in mother tongue
8 Which book is your all time favorite

Hmmm I think I have more questions, but later ….  if you have some tips to share, some strange habits ( ? ) or .. anything related to your reading habits…  share it !!

I always have a book with me, no matter where I go. I find y best reading is at the car wash, waiting to pick up for carpool, doctors office waiting rooms…. I also have been known to ignore dishes and laundry if I am in the thick of it. I can read an average paperback in about 3 hours, I figure it’s about 100 pages an hour… depending on if I am alone or if I have kids sitting on me. I have found that curling up on the couch with kids or husband, when they watch cartoons or the history channel is also a great way to read. That way I am close and present, but can tune out their stuff… especially when they are watching Hannah Montana for the 17th time. I Buy books… I am a writer… and believe in book karma of sorts. If I buy others, perhaps when mine is sitting on the shelf, others will buy mine… because I go through them so fast though, I will first go to our library store. Cheap prices, and it goes to support the library foundation… and is cheaper than the library fines I always seem to incur when I check them out.

Well I really cannot answer all those questions. I was thinking about that only…. coz now its holidays for me and I am free the whole day…everyday! And once my coll starts I don’t know what will happen. Even I may lose my reading habit. :(

But I liked Vishesh’s answers.. :)

@ Amie

// I always have a book with me, no matter where I go // Cool Idea !!

// about 100 pages an hour… // that’s really good.. I think I will have to work towards that :)

Library fines … hmmmmmm I am thinking about it.. I should go to our library next week … after a long time, I still have a book with me which I borrowed … so its going to be fine with the fine and the monthly fee !!!!

@ Vishesh

So you read books when you are at school right ? when you get free time etc ? I used to read lot of magazines when I was in college … whenever we get free hour, I will be at library with a magazine ..

I read most of Coelho’s and a few of Jibran’s …

@ Rekha

I used to note down interesting quotes in a separate book … hmm I think I can share few of those quotes in another post… :) for students, its always good to go to Library :) economical too hi hi … and you always have a school library few steps away …

@ Joel
