there is no end to a list of gadgets for a gizmo freak. Mine is a long one too. Gadgets are an integral part of my life.

Oh..! Just checked its tech specs. It doesn’t matter how much you are willing to spend, this digicam is good. Its normally hard to find at 360mm lens+Image Stabilization+ISO 1600 in a compact digital camera.
One thing I find strange is that the camera does not have a view finder, which is available in canon’s cheaper compact digital cameras. But may be it ain’t that important.
Earlier one had to buy complex bulky Digital camera’s like Canon S5 IS types to get any thing above 250-300mm.

@dinu: Normally next gen models of the same series have minor improvements, but there is improvement. So, if sx100 was good this one would be better. Only thing that can ever go bad in different generations is the software, which usually fixed as soon as bugs are reported. But even these things are rare esp. in small cameras, which will directly go in hands of a novice photographer(not always, but mostly).
Not having view finder etc. is ok, after all you can’t squeeze everything is such a small body.

What is affordable in US is un-affordable India, normally a 13-14k in US is like 19-20k in India. Need to check.
