this is not about the theme used on copyblogger.com, this is about the theme that Chris released for download, long before thesis theme was born

thesis is a good theme for sure

Just to clarify: the Copyblogger theme was created using Thesis by Chris Pearson of DIYthemes. Thesis is an awesome theme.

I haven’t gotten into child themes much, I need to start working on it!

Ubuntu is a good idea, you can get really good windows manager and get Mac Like experience , Though I hope you have more than 1 GB RAM
