Google Chrome, where is the rss icon ?

Firefox usually shows a rss feed icon in the address bar when we are on a website or blog with RSS or ATOM feed. So, I was looking for that or something similar on Google’s Chrome too. But no, nothing is there to identify if the URL has a rss feed.

What happened ? Where is my rss feed icon ? how will I know that the website has a feed or not ? Yes, of course there will always be alternate options on the website, but an icon on the address bar was the most convenient way of doing that.

So guys, did they actually forget to add this feature, or is it silly me having trouble finding it ? I need help … I need help.

PS: I am making a list of features missing on Chrome, so if you have something to add to, comment or email me.

That is my biggest gripe about Chrome as well. Most of my other “little” problems with it will be resolved when they open up an API for developers to make plug-ins (I DON’T like seeing ads…).

  2. Philip

no adblock, no other plugins. Dont see much future for Chrome till all these things are sorted out.

Looks like this is just another assembly line product from Google labs.

    @ Brian

Yes, most of these little things should be sorted out with plugins .. let us wait for that :)

    @ Philip

Let us give them some more time :) if the base is good, well, things will get better as we go right ?

I think I miss one thing, prompting us when we type… In firefox you will get the prompts when we type in columns.
Or do we have it in chrome?

  18. dinu

    @ xylene

prompting ? you mean auto fill ? I dint see it yet.. and last night, spell check dint work on gmail for me :(

  19. xylene
