Firefox usually shows a rss feed icon in the address bar when we are on a website or blog with RSS or ATOM feed. So, I was looking for that or something similar on Google’s Chrome too. But no, nothing is there to identify if the URL has a rss feed.
What happened ? Where is my rss feed icon ? how will I know that the website has a feed or not ? Yes, of course there will always be alternate options on the website, but an icon on the address bar was the most convenient way of doing that.
So guys, did they actually forget to add this feature, or is it silly me having trouble finding it ? I need help … I need help.
PS: I am making a list of features missing on Chrome, so if you have something to add to, comment or email me.
That is my biggest gripe about Chrome as well. Most of my other “little” problems with it will be resolved when they open up an API for developers to make plug-ins (I DON’T like seeing ads…).
no adblock, no other plugins. Dont see much future for Chrome till all these things are sorted out.
Looks like this is just another assembly line product from Google labs.
@ Brian
Yes, most of these little things should be sorted out with plugins .. let us wait for that
@ Philip
Let us give them some more time
if the base is good, well, things will get better as we go right ?
Told you it won’t fly :). Read Eula for more surprises.
@ Chirag Chamoli
No option to go offline n work
@ Rekha

but firefox is the bets i think
@ vishesh
Yes, for some more time, may be
My initial observations are
1. Looks light.
2. faster.
3. I liked the tabs being on top… saves space.
No, I couldnt find the rss either.
Its very googley !!!
Typical.
@ Xylene
Right … first thing u will notice, is the speed, and being very googley
Its a Beta. Give the new born some time.
@ amit
Yes, we are giving time
but, we should tell the baby what to learn where to correct … right ?
it is a beta, so all you people b-tching and complaining, more likely then not there going to fix the problems
@ Lethalarmor
Hi HI. … we are just trying to help them out .. I am still using chrome.. because I loved it..
I think I miss one thing, prompting us when we type… In firefox you will get the prompts when we type in columns.
Or do we have it in chrome?
@ xylene
prompting ? you mean auto fill ? I dint see it yet.. and last night, spell check dint work on gmail for me
oh yeah autofill. Its not there. spell check is not that effective as firefox.
@ xylene
right .. noted
Dinu, Tried it again with no biases, and seriously. They need a lot of work before we can take them seriously, Google no Google this is more of a fad for time being. What Say?
@ Chirag Chamoli
right, I agree
even though this is beta, they could have done so much better. It is not because they can’t, but, they dint..
may be they will do it in next update ./.
Oh yes!
I agree with you chanoli!
@ arvind
Yep, I am waiting for the next version, like an update to the current one based on the feedback
