I used vista from beta to retail (ultimate retail) and then 7 since beta (and now have retail, ultimate) and have had the blue screen of death 1 time in 3 years+. I had some minor software compatibility issues, but that was all, nothing I couldn't live without. I do agree that windows 7 is superior, but I don't agree that Vista was a disaster. All my favorite programs are working perfectly. Overall performance is quite good. I have no anti virus installed, not even a single attack till now. I would say one of the best OS ever developed.
