It’s 3 am, early morning and it’s raining outside. I have a cup of coffee on my table.
Hmmm … na ..  I was just trying to make this blog post sound normal,  which it is definitely not. This is a confused post from a confused blogger.
Confusion Number One : What type of blog is this ?
Surprised ? Yes, I am confused to the bottom ! What type of a blog is this ? Is this a personal blog ? If  the answer is yes, what happened to my “personal” posts ? No updates about where I am, what I am up to these days .. etc etc …  then how can you call this a personal blog ?.
Okay, then .. is this a tech blog ? oops …. no … posting some links about news you find online doesn’t make this a tech blog .. right ? and yes, archives are full of personal posts and ramblings …
Now, help me, dear friend .. on your books, is this a personal blog or a tech blog ?
Confusion Number Two : What Happened to my comments ?
I have nothing more to say about this .. check the number of comments on few recent posts here .. and then take a look at the archives here … see posts with 25, and 50 comments ?
Something is terribly wrong here .. and I have no idea what it is !! Help me !!
Did I confused you too ? I am sorry ….. GOOD !!

I think you blog is a personal blog because it has a mix of everything on it. My blog is personal blog also because it has a mix of everything. Thanks for commenting on my website. Just keep working at your blog and everything will come into place. Greg Ellison
thank you !! hmm one vote for personal blog ….
Write anything and everything that interests you. Dont slot your blog into a particular genre. Segregate technical, personal in different pages if you want on the blog, but keep writing all that comes to your mind.
20-25 comments? Heh, i never got so many comments in a single post all my 5 years of blogging, except once when there was an Australia- India slanging match over cricket
I will have to agree on the personal blog as well. It’s more about your reviews on the gadget used, with a lot of personal touch and emotions within. Perhaps this is more like a Dinu-usage of some techie items and reviews-type of personal blog, not necessarily about your personal life etc. Depends on how you would like to convey your message.

I consider it as a personal blog where you posts your personal idea mixed with technical stuff.
Don’t worry about the comments.
I think I know where this is coming from
Don’t worry yaar, chill. A mix of personal and technical is fun. I have lost so many data on my website today, including more than 50 comments! I am still smiling
You should too!
lol … and still you continued without comments ? that’s really good
yea, I am going to follow these advices here
making it more personal mix !!
thank you so much for ur comment and the tip
will be useful for me to move forward !
Personal blog for sure. For you write what you choose. Be it links or leaks ! Or for that matter an occassional personal comment.
And as for the comments going up or down…should it matter at all ? I am not too sure !
thank you …. personal blog again
that sounds nice !! I had a feeling that I lost the personal touch for this blog …
yea .. I saw ur tweets and notes about the blog …. hope everything is ok now
hmmm I believe in comments
I feel worried when number of comments go down ..
That girl in the photo….. do you have her number???
You want more comments? Then post photos of some girls
And BTW dude, at least you do write some good posts here…. look at my blog….. I am wasting such a cool name/url on my blog….
So you should be happy and not confused. This is a personal tech blog
(*Begin whispering* Also look at Anshul’s Brainstuck.com, you will never complain about comments again
*End whispering*)
This may sound weird but I say your blog as a tech-blog with personal attitude. Meaning, you are writing about tech-stuff and how to become a better blogger, but with a personal twist. By doing so it gets interesting.
About the comments then? Well, could it be that you comment other blogs less frequently than before? Maybe you don’t add your posts to social sites like delicious or StumbleUpon anymore?
May be you should name you blog like mine, so it doesn’t matter whta you write in it. Its all gonna be treated as crap.
I find yours as more tech news blog, with all the latest happenings around the tech world.
lol .. I don’t have her number .. ask the photographer
if you want numbers search orkut .. they have some fake profiles with phone numbers of girls LOL
hmmm good posts ?
danku………… !!
and on that whispering thing .. I am waiting for Anshul’s comment
thanks
hmm yea, may be I am commenting less on other blogs .. I created a new blog and was busy with it ..
I don’t use social networking much … other than twitter
hmm a vote for tech blog ? that’s cool too
Say it’s a unique type of blog which knows no boundries like ‘personal’ or ‘tech’
and you already get a lot more comments than me…so don’t worry
lol ok .. ok …
blog which knows no boundaries .. sounds good
Its a blog with personality crisis, non-niche blog. Personal, Tech, Ranting, Photography…
“a blog with personality crisis” : Perfect !!
That is how Anshul has described his own blog. Unoriginal punch line.
I would say yours is a technical blog (now don’t compare it with professionals), you have a distinct personal flavor to the whole thing. Don’t even bother about generalizing your blog.
And the name Blog of small things sums it up aptly.
thanks
I think I want u to tell me more ..
Well, there you go. 25 comments on this post. 26 now!
Keep hanging in there…you cover some good stuff! I have this blog classified as a techie blog in my reader.
really ?
thank you
Why Personal blog?
If you are writing about Google,Twitter or other technology then why your blog is personal?
You are not blogging Big B I mean Indian Actor Abhitabh Bacchan or like Amir Khan.
Thats why your blog is Tech Mixture.
this makes me even more confused
lol
thank you for the comment !
You bugger… so you finally got your comments up
May be I should also write blog about no one commenting on my post anymore
As far as your blog goes, it’s a personal one.. Technology is something close to your heart so you write about it along with other thoughts of yours.
well said
yes, I had to ask “where are my comments” to get them back .. at least for this post
I concur with Liju Philip here. Write whatever comes to your mind. Don’t slot it. I believe you already have a tech blog so why not make it more personal? Personal means you can scribble anything.
As for comments, when I started I used to get 1 or 2 but I never bothered and used to blog daily. Later when comments increased, my blogging reduced because I use that time in replying to comments.
So comments or not, keep writing as long as you have something to say.
thank you so much for your comment …
Somehow I missed Suda’s comment earlier.
@Suda, The comment count on my blog is quite good for its type, primarily because I do not rant or write about social issues on my blog. But you people on the other hand play with sentiments of your readers by writing such posts which provoke them to comment out of hatred, sympathy, empathy, awe, etc.. For eg: Your ‘all girls are bitches’ post was nothing but an inane publicity stunt but it didn’t get much attention either. So, stop whispering around and get back to doing what you are good at doing i.e. writing more of same kind of stuff.

@Poonam You too lady… STHU!
Damn! This calls for a new comic.
well well well !! no comments on this
I don’t think it’s really necessary to shove and push our blogs into small boxes that don’t even really fit. So I vote for neither personal nor tech. But I shouldn’t be talking since I haven’t even really been writing recently.
Anyway, you get a LOT of comments…. [= comparatively. Maybe I should start commenting more on others’ too.. I barely do that. I like your blog’s new layout.. it looks very professional.
thank you
I am also thinking about including more topics here …
You know I too think that your blog keeps changing. Nowadays its all tech but some posts are not, like this one!!
I like your blog even though I don’t read tech blogs!
thank you so much !!
Hmmm…I always knew it you couldn’t handle criticism. Why didn’t you feel blessed that I bothered to critique your punch line. Anyway, you too, STFU, kiddo!
And GTH.
Comment above is solely directed to Anshul of brainstuck.com fame.
Thought better to make it clear.
I never thought of this idea of getting more comments
start a comment fight !
U know I regard ur blog as a tech blog
thank you Reemaji
You don’t have to be confused, I believe you’ll figure it out by yourself. Maintain you focus and be clear about your goal. You can do it.
thank you !!
@Poonam Hah………..hah…………hah! I think before criticizing my blog or its punchline etc, you should concentrate on your sleepy blog that updates like once a month and also ‘hotlinks’ to my comics without my permission. Bloody lazy bloggers.
Just get back on the horse again. Personally I think commenting on others blogs are the single most effective method to get more comments on your own blog.
thank you for the advice
I will try to do more commenting on other blogs ..
Yeah, I aggre to this. Very good post. Go on…
