Google’s Nexus One is here .. is it an iPhone killer ? – this seems to be the most popular question here. I dont have answer for that question, but I do have some interesting facts about the phone for you !

Few Facts About Nexus One

  • Google will sell the phone through their online store located at google.com/phone.
  • This is Nexus “One” .. and there will be more Nexus phones from Google.
  • Google will add more Android devices to the online store, not just Nexus one.
  • The price for an unlocked Nexus One is $529
  • With ATT contract, it is $179
  • It has 3D capability.
  • Forget physical keypad, and touchscreen keypad, Nexus One can recognize your words and make it text. Speak, and send as text or email !
  • It supports Wifi, but no tethering as the moment.
  • Are you in India ? You will have wait until they launch the product here !

Techcrunch has given good reviews of the product. Its will soon come to Singapore too.

Not that iam interested in tech toys anyway. I will never waste my precious money on them ;)

lol .. ok :) its not going to be released very soon in India .. even if it does, it wont be a sudden hit .. even iPhone didn’t do well here .. why ? .. PRICE !!

The pricing plan was pathetic, no wonder iPhone flopped in India. The telecom companies should give phones cheaper and tie down the customer with a 12 or 24 months contract.

That way they can have a committed customer and also people will be willing to take up the pricier phones cos they get them cheaper. That’s how telcos do business here in S’pore.

wow that was fast. Google never left any space for rumors and took out the phone really fast. the specs looks great lets see if the price in india is also the same :)

I was just checking this out yesterday when i saw their add on google’s home page. Google has an advantage on this one since they got a chance to learn from the iphone flaws. I know several people who is getting hyped up about this! Just another gadget to get people hooked on their phones!!

Some very good features. I especially like the word recognition. Still it’s heavy on the wallet. :-)
