It was a wonderful year with her, and this Valentines day seems to be the best occasion to write about it !  We recently completed the first year of our marriage, happily, together, and full of love !

Are you a farmer on facebook ?

farmville-game-facebookWe usually start our weekends at the Forum Mall, here in Bangalore. This weekend, while we were in the Mall, She said,

“let’s go to the apple store”.

I was surprised, because apple store is one of the two restricted areas for me inside The Forum;  reason ? : gadgets are dangerous for me. ( the other restricted place  is Landmark, coz, I am addicted to books too ).

I asked her “what for ?” and she said …. ” I want to check my facebook” … and I was ..

” WHAT ?”

This happened 10 minutes after we left our home , where we have broadband Internet, and  where we are supposed to be back again in another two hours of three. Why can’t she wait for few more hours before she can check facebook again ? The answer is, A facebook app, or a game called “Farm Ville”

I decided to see  what this is all about, and I have to admit, I got myself addicted to this game now. So, if you have a facebook account, and going to check this out, take this as a warning. You may get addicted.

This is a simple flash based game, that you can install as an app on your facebook account. You get a small area or, farm which you can develop with plants, trees, sheep and goats etc. Slowly, you develop your farm and earn points, add your friends as neighbors, etc etc ..  There is a stupid option where you can purchase points, ( yea, pay using your credit card .. no !! I am not kidding )  with which you can buy virtual trees and seeds … interesting uh ?

I usually ignore all app requests on facebook and I was ignoring this one also, so far. But, when I started using this, I found out that almost all of my friends are already in there, living in their virtual farm houses. With straberries, Apple trees, and orange trees.  I got a chat message from a friend asking me to send him an orange tree as a gift ( yes, you can send people trees and more as gifts ).

What makes it sooo addictive ? I don’t have an answer. But, there is something that you will notice. Each plant or tree gets ready for harvesting in certain amount of time. So, if you have a plant that you are supposed to harvest in 2 hours, you should login to facebook and connect to this app on that time, and if you are late, your fruit will be gone as in the real world. ( now you know why she wanted to go to apple store and login to facebook from there !! )  So you are connected to this app all the time, you check back at certain intervals to make sure that everything is fine ….

Two Years together, in love

Bangalore, a rainy day of October, 2006: Two friends walked in to a bus stop near Madiwala. They walked in as “friends”. But with the rain came love, which filled their heart and changed them in to two lovers, as they walked out.

Yes, its been two years since we met and decided that we will be together.  It’s that time of the year, when we travel back in to our memories, and live those days again.

 It feels so special to be with you, dear, or, rather, its so special, to be “yours”.

No, this is not a new theme !!

Guys, we have a new design, but I did not change the theme, yes this is “copyblogger”.  Inspired by deigners and bloggers out there, I tried my css skills on the copyblogger theme and ended up here, with this design. ( header image needs a color change, agreed :) redesigned header : brilliant job again by Chirag !!)

So, what I need now is little feedback, good bad and the ugly. If you say, “really good”, I may not work hard enough to make this look even better, so be careful when you comment !!

I can haz a Canon Powershot SX100 IS

So, without waiting for SX110 IS, we ended up buying SX100 IS. The plan was to wait for the SX110, and finish my two wheeler loan by then etc …..  But that visit to Whizz inside the Forum Mall, Bangalore, changed everything. We went inside to check the status of SX110, and saw our sweet SX100 there, asked its price, quality etc, and  then smiled at each other … “shall we ?” that was the meaning of the smile …..   l have few photos to show you,

Why I can not blog about my passion

I was reading an interesting post by Lorelle VanFossen on Blogherald. It’s about writing about finding your passion, the most interesting thing in your life/blog or, something that you always think about, talk about and have more to write about. 

You think about blogging on the subject constantly, at work, at play, in the night.
The subject is usually first in your head when you wake up in the morning.
You keep coming back to the subject matter on your blog.

That’s how you discover your passion. ( read the full list and post, really useful ). I thought, I will ask our “she” . I keep talking to her online/offline, for hours everyday, so she might be knowing what I am interested in ? 

“Hey, read that post, and tell me what I am passionate about”
“Do you need any passion other than me ?”
“No !! so, can I write about you ?
“Noooooooo” 

Okay guys, so I can’t write about my passion, now, read that post and tell me what I am passionate about, or what you enjoy the most on my blog, which topic you find interesting … etc etc …. more feedback please !!!!
