Stealing, Threat, Abuse – against a blogger

Here is a news from the Malayalam blogging community, and it is no more an issue of Malayalam Bloggers alone. I am not writing a long post about the issue because you have a lot to read at the pages linked to.

See the first email from the blogger :

You have copied from malayalam blogs and
placed it on your website.
http://www.kerals.com/malayalam/kerala/malayalam.php?f=8
http://kerals.com/malayalam/kerala/malayalam.php?f=15

These links show the copied stories and poems from Malayalam blogs. You have no right to do so. You have ads all over your website. You cannot put ads on copied content. This issue will be reported to your hosting service and to google.

And the reply ? here is a sample.

May be I might dont know how to reply properly, however it’s none of your business since you are another malayali thinks world is under your neath.. Just get rid of all the ego’s and come down to earth.. may be your parents didnt teach you to respect other and get respect.. I am too nice based on your character.. You are Nothing, just another FOB.. So Do NOT think you are on top of me or us.. Rule your husband or familly.. DO NOT TRY TO RULE THE WORLD…

Wordpress Blogs in Malayalam

Wordpress is my favorite blogging platform and it will remain so, always. However, there is some kind of “soft corner” being formed towards Blogger.

Reason ? …. I found lot of Malayalam blogs on Blogger. Blogger makes it easy to write and publish in Malayalam and few other Indic languages. There is a good community being formed around these Malayalam blogs on Blogger. I did try this Malayalam typing, and found really really easy.

The Malayali Blogging community, is trying hard to Malayalam Blogs popular. I am trying to find information on how to blog in Malayalam using wordpress. I would like to document it, at one place. If you have some information about Wordpressing in Indic languages, or some plugins that you know about, please drop me a comment here

So far, I have managed to post using copy n paste method. I found one plugin too, which is not working here ( may be because its not compatible with the latest wordpress version. ) I will keep you guys updated !!

How to write Malayalam for Wordpress

As I said earlier, we do not have something similar to what blogger.com has. For now, you can either use blogger.com, to create the blog content and then paste it to your Wordpress blog editor.

If you do not want to use Blogger to type in Malayalam, you can use Google Transliteration to write in Malayalam and then paste it to Wordpress.

Are you still boycotting blogger ?

Are you still boycotting blogger ?

“The Blogger issue has been really bothering me ever since I discovered that non-Bloggers users are being forced to leave a “Nickname” or comment Anonymously, without giving you the option of leaving behind the URL of your blog.” Ruhi

Now, all those who boycotted blogger ( including you Ruhi ) can come back and post comments on blogger and leave your blog url there , Yes, you are no longer anonymous !

Blogger is now “Open ID” enabled.

“After just two short weeks of testing on Blogger in draft, OpenID commenting is now available for all Blogger blogs. This means that your friends and readers can leave authenticated comments on your blog using their blog URLs from OpenID-enabledWordPress.com, LiveJournal, and AOL Journals, or with their AOL/AIM accounts.”

Google Reader

Being a blogger is not that easy these days, because if you want a few people to read and comment on what you write, you need to do well because, the blogs are growing in fast in number.
As much as you want others to read what you want and comment there, others also want you to do so.
Blogging has evolved in to a new way of social networking and sharing of information and at this point, an important thing that we should learn, is to communicate with other bloggers around the globe and find out who thinks and writes in the way we do or in a way that is of our interest. Its not easy to keep going back all those blogs and check for updates but you can make all those updates come to you. !!

google reader is the best way to do it. So lets get in to the point. What is google reader ?

I Love Wordpress.com

I was going through wordpress.com home page for new blog posts… featured blogs…same time thinking what to write about.. oh yea.. what to blog about right ? .. then I thought I am gong through something I can blog about ? ….

Yes ..I think I should write something about wordpress….

I started blogging during my Poornam days… and it was nice time always with all our blogger friends of Poornam.. Arun, Nasra, Sojish, Chakky……. Even our Director Amarjyoti was a blogger…. most of them had their own websites… and knew coding very well… working on websites and webservers all the time they were really good at it…and always helped me and Arun.. who were Arts graduate bloggers … ( yea !! others B.Tech Bloggers ;) )

I tried a lot of free websites…. blogging sites.. and finally reached wordpress.com.. and I never thought about moving to another blogging platform… Yes.. this is the right place for bloggers… lot of features.. widgets coming in daily.. easy to use.. new themes coming in …. wordpress.com seems to be the most happening place these days..

I miss my blogging community of Poornam though… still. yes.. wordpress is again the place where  we keep in touch with .. I can take the credit of brining Arun to wordpress.com… and Nasra also used wordpress software in her own website… two of them worked together to create a blog about the table tennis tournament of Poornam …Â

Wordpress.com… Thanks a lot … for giving me the best blogging experience..
