“Google Me” is Google’s Own “Facebook” ?

google fight facebookRumor has it that Google is planning a Facebook like social media networking platform, named “Google Me”. This news comes after their failed experiment with  “buzz”  which was supposed to be a twitter competitor. So, its better not to have too much of expectations about this

The news came out through a tweet by Kevin Rose, found of digg.com, which according to him, was from a credible source. Well, let’s hope so !

Well, Google, one question though, do you remember Orkut.com ?

In another news, Facebook hired the Guy Who Built Google’s Chrome OS. And Facebook is going to open it’s first office in Asia – 500 member facility in Hyderabad. ( news not to fresh )

Smart Recipe Search with Bing.com

Microsoft is not going to give up ! They know that Google is a really tough competitor, but they are fighting hard, with new and cool search features. Here is the latest from them; An advanced recipe search !

Visit Bing.com and type in any ingredient: ground chuck, quinoa, kidney beans, bacon, you name it and Bing will comb through recipe sites to return results. Click on the Recipes link and you’ll see a list of recipes which include the item you searched for. Every recipe has a picture, description, the name of the site where the recipe was found, and some easy visual guides like the rating that recipe has been given and whether or not the recipe is high or low in fat and calories. – reports lifehacker.com

The AOL Mail Experience : Part 1

“There is a little bit of me in AOL mail”. Well, thats true. They have ads too !! like I have on this blog. Is it really bad to have ads ? hmm I would say, No, but when I open my inbox, I am expecting my inbox first and not just ads.

First Impression ?

Yes, opening your mail will not take you directly to your inbox. You see a copy of aol.in’s home page along with some ads. So my first impression was not that good. But it could’een better if they avoided that right – left scroll ( I really hate when I have to scroll left – right on a web page ) Continue reading →
