Can you imagine emails and chat messages without emitocons or smileys ? I can’t .. Â I even use them while chatting with customers and clients. When Google wave is released, we will start searching for cool smiles and emoticons for Wave conversations too. I started that search early and found a nice plugin for all of us !!
Emoticony Robot for Google Wave
Emoticony is a robot for Google Wave which replaces text representations of emoticons with the relevant image. There are currently over 50 different emoticons available, with this number continuing to grow. They are planning to release emoticons focused around specific events (Halloween, Christmas etc.)
In order to enable the plugin, all you need to do is, add firstname.lastname@example.org to your wave. Â Enjoy ! For More Plugins, click here

Let me tell you why it is important. Sending more than a certain number of emails at the same time, always makes troubles. Because of this, mailing list scripts and newsletters often create headaches for server administrators. They keep certain limitations, on the number of emails that you can send, per hour, per minute etc. That means, enabling a feature like this, on a free email package, that too on something like Gmail, which has a huge user base, is risk and challenge.
I think we should appreciate this, and keep this line in mind ”
“While this feature is great for creating efficient ways to email small groups, we encourage you to use Google Groups to manage large ones.”
PS: Its been a lot about +ve s of Gmail. Have you noticed any -ve s ? Or something that you really want them to enable for you.. I am really curious !!
