December 30th, 2009 — Google Nexus One Phone
When I wrote about leaked specs of the upcoming Chrome OS Netbook, s4n705h asked me if I forgot the Google Phone, Nexus One.
Well, no s4n705h, I haven’t !
I have been reading about the phone a lot these days, and all those android blogs I am following is filled with Nexus one news pictures and videos these days.
What is the latest News ?
Well, the latest info is the greatest. Google has invited press persons for an “Android Event” on January 5th, 2010. We have strong reasons to believe that they will be announcing the phone during this event.
Now, the basics for a Newbie.
Wondering what this google phone is ? Let me give you a brief introduction, and all the basic info you need to have, about Google’s new venture.
Why is it called the Google Phone ? : It runs Android, an open source mobile operating system developed by Google. Hardware built by HTC, but sold and supported by Google. Yes, Google is going to sell this phone directly !
Specs of Google Nexus One
- Android 2.1
- 11.5mm thick
- 512MB RAM,
- 512M B ROM,
- 4GB microSD in-box expandable to 32GB
- 5 megapixel camera with mechanical AF and LED flash
- 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display
Sounds good ? Nexus one is going to be one powerful plus beautiful device, and with google supporting it and selling it ( price subsidies, may be ? ), there seems to be a good future for this phone. Apple, iPhone .. watch out !
A few Google Employees were lucky enough to get this device few weeks back, as part of a test run. Google had confirmed this news through a blog post and that’s from where all these pictures of the device come from.

I started using internet only a few years back. My first internet experience was creating an email address on Yahoo! Mail. Those were the days before Gmail …. when Yahoo! used to be the star
… Now, things have changed and most of us use gmail and other google services … still …. Flickr makes us stick to Yahoo!, and we all love flickr.
I have started spending more time on flickr these days, with uploading, and editing pictures, socializing, and making new friends etc … and I started thinking if there was any other Yahoo! service that I still use … hmmm Yahoo Messenger at times, I guess .. other than that, Yahoo! is completely out of my online life.

June 30th, 2008 — blogging, me

Do you browse the web using mobile phone ? Are you a newbie in this area looking for a good mobile browser ? Opera Mini is the best option for you.
- It looks good
- Works Fast
- It’s free
On my mobile browser ( I don’t know the name ) that came default with the handset, large pages won’t load, because it is trying to display everything in the actual size.
Opermini re sizes the websites to fit on the screen and when we can navigate the page, and zoom wherever we want to see things in the actual size.
The Opera Mini experience has been fabulous so far. I tried accessing my gmail, orkut, webmail for this domain ( Google Apps ), This blog itself, and finally the wordpress admin page too !!
I am still playing with this little cutie. I will need to organize my bookmarks, save passwords for mail accounts and wordpress admin page. ( entering username and password using mobile browsers, is really boring and time consuming. )
What is the best way to publish this post ?
