Guys !! I am super excited !! I just got to test wordpress 2.7 admin page, on a test blog, here. What should I say, Its just amazing !!!

If you have any complaint / confusion about wordpress admin dashboard, as it is now, this new version is going to make you happy, I swear !!

If you are wondering why “wordpress 2.7″, yes, it’s time for another wordpress upgrade. Wordpress 2.7 is on its way with loads of features including automatic upgrade, sticky posts ( which wordpress.com users already have ) etc ….

With this update, wordpress will boost the use of “child themes” in wordpress design and development. With more power added to the child themes feature, you will see more child themes coming out in near future.  So, what is a child theme in wordpress, is copyblogger theme using it already ?

After releasing Wordpress 2.6 one month ahead of the schedule, here is another cool new update from Wordpress. A theme directory, where you can browse, rate, preview and download themes from. ( Please note that this is only for self hosted Wordpress Blogs. )

Why is it important ?

It is important because there is nothing of this sort available elsewhere. Its important because, we really need something like this on Wordpress.

There are thousands of Wordpress themes available. Theme developers have their own download sites, preview blogs and rating options. Even though themes.wordpress.net is there, it is not functional at the moment.

“There is a little bit of me in AOL mail”. Well, thats true. They have ads too !! like I have on this blog. Is it really bad to have ads ? hmm I would say, No, but when I open my inbox, I am expecting my inbox first and not just ads.

First Impression ?

Yes, opening your mail will not take you directly to your inbox. You see a copy of aol.in’s home page along with some ads. So my first impression was not that good.
