On my mobile browser ( I don’t know the name ) that came default with the handset, large pages won’t load, because it is trying to display everything in the actual size.

Opermini re sizes the websites to fit on the screen and when we can navigate the page, and zoom wherever we want to see things in the actual size.

The Opera Mini experience has been fabulous so far. I tried accessing my gmail, orkut, webmail for this domain ( Google Apps ), This blog itself, and finally the wordpress admin page too !!

I am still playing with this little cutie. I will need to organize my bookmarks, save passwords for mail accounts and wordpress admin page. ( entering username and password using mobile browsers, is really  boring and time consuming. )

If you do not know what cPanel is,

cPanel (control Panel) is a graphical web-based web-hosting control panel, designed to simplify administration of websites. cPanel handles all aspects of website administration in its interface. The software, which is proprietary and distributed by cPanel, Inc., is designed for use by commercial web hosting services, so the company does not offer a reduced-cost personal use license; however, owners of non-profit organizations such as educational institutions and charities can request a license at a free or reduced cost. Reduced prices are frequently available from dedicated-server companies, who install it along with the operating system.

I am familiar with cPanel, and was expecting my new webhost to have it. It’s too common in the hosting industry and I did not look for it in the features list on the plan page. After I got the login information, I started looking for the link to login to cPanel. Nothing !! I have no idea how to manage the website. I went back to the webhost’s site and started looking for cPanel. Well, they don’t use cPanel, but a custom control panel, which they have developed.

It took almost 30 minutes for me to figure out how things are and what I am supposed to do. Setting up wordpress and uploading my theme was easy and somewhat similar to cPanel. Anyways, problem starts when I want to something else other than wordpress. I will have to figure out how to do it before doing it. What if some error comes up ? search for the fix again.

Other than that, I am happy with the service, and performance of the new host. And yes, its always to good to learn new stuff… right ?

Okay, I got new domain, installed blog and restored most of my old posts. I told her, ok I have done this far. The response was, ” Okay, good, but don’t keep changing your theme”

If you are not the first time here, I am sure you know how crazy I am about themes. Or crazy about changing themes ?. Current theme is something I loved at first sight. I need to give a link to the theme page. Why ? hmm what if I change this one too ? How will you understand which theme I am referring to ? So, here is the link

I love the current theme. But that doesn’t mean that I am completely satisfied with this theme. First let me tell you why I love this theme.

1 It’s easy to read : no strain to go through the blog post. So, it supports the content very well.
2 It looks fresh and Clean
3 It has a good color scheme
4 It’s not so common. You won’t easily get it.
5 It was designed by the theme author for this own website and that means its a special one
6 It was designed by my favorite Designer, Small Potato of Wpdesigner.com

So, what’s wrong with the theme ? Only one thing. I am not happy with the header alignment. Its not like normal headers ok, but still I feel there is something missing, on the header layout. I want the header image to be on the top of the blog title.

What now ? I am thinking about a theme change but luckily ( yes !!) I can’t find a theme that matches all my requirements.

Now, what you guys think about this theme ? Do I need to change it ? I know you are going to tell me to correct the header myself. I am too lazy … still I will not say ” No, I will not try” I will try. Hmm and yes, that’ll be great if I could get any help from you guys … any wordpress designers around ?

It was tough experience, when I lost my original domain. But, I am trying to bring everything back here. This is my first day with this all new blog, and first post. I have a lot to do, a lot to achieve.

Yes, I am in need of some SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) Tips, or suggestions. I am not looking for any links, or any common tips. But, something related to do this blog. Something that you believe, that can improve the search engine position of this blog.

I am not good in this SEO stuff. I really want to learn more on this topic. Do you have any blogs or sites that can help ? Blogs will be great, coz I can subscribe on Google Reader, and I will gradually learn stuff without even knowing that I am learning.

And finally, the blog has been upgraded to wordpress 2.3. This time I didn’t wait for fantastico to update its scripts. The upgrade was 100% manual. I am yet to figure out what comes in the new box.I will have to wait a bit to see if I can find some.
The theme that i changed recently is actually a 2.3 compatible one so that side is fine. I could upgrade the stats plugin also to new version
Is there any changes on the front end ? any errors ? do let me know .. I am looking for all kind of stuff around here.
